Part II orders for grant of transport allowance w.e.f 01.09.08, should be endorsed with the following certificates to obviate rejection/recovery of allowance—
i Certified that the conditions laid down in Govt. of India, Min of Def letter No. 12630/Tpt/A/Mov C/ 208/D(Mov)/98 dated 20/2/98 as amended vide letter dated 22/10/98 and letter No 12630/Tpt/A/Mov C/3120/D(Mov)/08 dated 16 Dec 08 have been fulfilled.
ii. The Officer is stationed at ------- (City ) on permanent posting wef------
iii The officer is not provided with Govt. transport for commuting between the place of residence and place of duty.
iv The Officer is orthopeadically handicapped with disability of lower extremities.
v The officer is drawing grade pay of Rs ------- p.m. However, the facility of staff car for commuting between residence and office has been withdrawn from the date------

NOTE:-
a. Certificate (iv) is to be endorsed only in case of Orthopedically handicapped officers who are entitled to draw the allowance at double the rates. However this certificate should be endorsed every time the Part II order for grant of Tpt at double rates is published. The necessary medical certificate from the Head of the Orthopedic Department of the Military Hospital and sanction of the competent authority as per Appendix 1 of Travel Regulations should be enclosed along with the part II order for initial grant of the allowance.
b. Certificate (v) is to be given in case officer drawing Grade Pay Rs.10,000/ or Rs 12000/- only.
